Who would have thought that these five famous people were once truck drivers!
1. James Cameron
James Cameron dropped out of college in 1974 and became a truck driver. When he wasn't driving he would spend his free time writing and learning about film. In 1977 he left trucking and started a career in the film industry. He ended up directing many films such as The Terminator, Titanic, Spider-Man, and Avatar.
2. Chevy Chase
Before Chevy Chase was able to make his break he had a wide range of different jobs such as a cab driver, construction worker, fruit picker, and a stint as a truck driver. He is known for being on the original cast of SNL (Saturday Night Live) and for his role in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
3. Elvis Presley
In 1953 Elvis was a struggling artist and could only pay for a few minutes of recording time at Sun Records. In April of 1954 he took a position as a truck driver for Crown Electric to help fund his dream of becoming a singer. In just a few more years he would make his breakout and become a household name.
4. Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson left Queen's University Belfast in Northern Ireland to work as a fork-lift operator at Guinness. In 1976 he left his position as a fork-lift operator to become a truck driver. Soon after, in 1978, he got his first opportunity to star in a small film called "Pilgrim's Progress". He has now been in countless films such as Batman Begins, Taken, and Star Wars.
5. Sean Connery
Sean grew up around trucking since his father was a factory worker and truck driver. Sean's first job was a milkman before he joined the Royal Navy. After he was discharged from the Royal Navy, for medical reasons, he spent time as a truck driver, lifeguard, and artist's model.
