Coming up next week is an event that will shape our country for years to come, election day. Some people are unaware that there are many different ways to cast your vote for the presidential election. This sometimes causes truck drivers to miss out on this very important event
If you have never voted before then you must start off with registering. This has become a very easy thing to do by just going to the link HERE and filling out the short form. This will only take about 2 minutes and you will not have to worry about it again, unless you move.
Next it is time to put a reminder on your calendar that election day is November 8th. If you are home on Tuesday then feel free to look up your polling location HERE and cast your vote in person. However, many truck drivers will not be home in the middle of the week and that is where the alternative methods of voting come in.
Each state has their own method of early voting. So head on over to THIS page and click on your state to find out how to cast your vote. We will take a look at Missouri to see what their rules are.
1. On the page linked above (or HERE) you will click on the state's name where you live (or where you receive your mail at).
2. You will then be directed to a new page where you can find a section on absentee ballots and early voting.
3. Follow the easy step lined out for your state and cast your vote!
If you have any further questions feel free to call your State's Election Office (phone number list HERE) and they will be more than happy to help you. Now go out and do your American duty and cast your vote!
